Like LuxMark, Sony Vegas is a benchmark dominated by AMD. It is a (first generation) Maxwell-based GPU built on the GM107. The Quadro M600M is about 20 faster than the previous Quadro K620M thanks to the wider 128-bit memory interface and pretty much right between the siblings Quadro M500M & Quadro. Also the difference between the GTX 980 and the closest competitor is too great for the Hawaii Flagship to have fared significantly better than the 290X. The 28 nm Nvidia Quadro M1200 is a mid-range DirectX 12 (FL 110) and OpenGL 4.5-compatible graphics card for mobile workstations. That said, in fairness to the guys over at Phoronix, these tests were probably conducted from eng samples they have received from companies, so it is somewhat excsueable that the R9 290X was omitted. The NVIDIA Quadro 3000M is a professional workstation graphics card based on the Fermi architecture (probably GF104 like the GeForce GTX 470M). There is no R9 290X (flagship Hawaii GPU) present and in its place is the R9 290, which as you all know isn't the full fat core.
